Love from a Stranger

Love from a Stranger – Beverley Memorial Hall, 29th April to 2nd May 2020. Curtain up 7.30pm.

Beverley Theatre Company are pleased to announce that their next production will be Agatha Christie's 'Love from a Stranger’, adapted by Frank Vosper.

Cecily Harrington has led a staid and proper existence. After winning a large amount of money in a sweepstake she desperately yearns for a life of adventure. Enter Bruce Lovell, a handsome and charming stranger who sweeps her off her feet. In a whirlwind romance, she recklessly abandons her job, friends and fiancé to settle in the remote and blissful surroundings of a country cottage. However, her newfound “love from a stranger” is not what it seems and in an astonishingly tense final scene, Cecily discovers the ghastly truth of her new love.

The cast is composed of many BTC stalwarts, with Cecily and Bruce played by Zoe Conley and Neville Slater, and supporting roles played by Tony Musgrave, Helen Wild, Emma Drew, Hannah Robertson and Bill Watts.

The play will be performed with kind permission from Samuel French Ltd, at 7.30pm, from Wednesday 29th April until Saturday 2nd May 2020 at the Memorial Hall, Lairgate, Beverley with licensed bar (except Wednesday).
